S&L Development LLC — Privacy Policy

1. Purpose

This Privacy Policy explains how S&L Development LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use SpendSmart (the “App”).

2. Eligibility

SpendSmart is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. Information We Collect

• Account information necessary to operate the App (e.g., email address, authentication credentials managed through Supabase).
• Budgeting, transaction, and financial-planning data you enter manually.
• Financial account and transaction information retrieved through Plaid, with your explicit authorization, when you choose to connect a financial institution.
• App usage and diagnostic information collected through Apple App Analytics and Apple crash reporting (see Section 6).

4. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store your online banking usernames or passwords. Authentication with your financial institution happens directly within Plaid Link’s own secure interface — your banking credentials are never entered into, seen by, or stored by SpendSmart or S&L Development LLC.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Provide budgeting, financial tracking, and financial insight features.
• Synchronize transaction and balance data you’ve authorized through Plaid.
• Provide optional backup features you initiate.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the App.

6. Third-Party Services

We work with the following service providers to operate SpendSmart:

• Plaid — used to securely connect to and retrieve data from your financial institution, with your authorization. Plaid’s own Privacy Policy (https://plaid.com/legal) governs the information Plaid collects and processes as part of that connection.
• Supabase — provides authentication and backend infrastructure used to operate your account and securely store application data.
• Apple App Analytics — provides aggregated, privacy-preserving usage analytics to help us understand how the App is used.
• Apple crash reporting — provides diagnostic crash data to help us identify and fix technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers above, as necessary to operate the App, or when required by law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and application data for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, your account information, manually entered data, and connected Plaid account data are deleted, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.

You may request deletion of your account at any time from within the App, or by contacting us using the information in Section 11.

8. Your Choices

You may:

• Disconnect a linked financial institution at any time.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Contact us with questions about your information.

9. Security

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit. Secrets and credentials are stored server-side and are never embedded in the App. Access to administrative systems is restricted and protected by multi-factor authentication where available.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated Effective Date above.
